Units 2-8 - Shopping Budget Project

You need to compare and contrast the health content of three meals from fast food restaurants of your choice.  One meal needs to be breakfast form one restaurant, one needs to be lunch from a second restaurant, and the third needs to be dinner from a third restaurant.  One of the three meals needs to be "healthy". 

Internet Research - Gather information to create two tables.  The first table should show the calories and fat content of each meal.  The second table should show the Recommended Daily Allowance of calories and fat content for your age group.

Inspiration Graphic Organizer- Itemizing each meal listing the calorie and fat contents.  Your Inspiration Graphic must include the following:

MS Excel - You need to create a spreadsheet that compares the calories and fat content of meals.  You will need to find the total calories and fat content for each meal.  The Excel spreadsheet must include the following:

MS Word - You need to answer these two questions:

  1. What makes the "healthy" meal healthy? 
  2. Identify what levels of the Food Pyramid that are included in this healthy meal.

The Word document must include the following:

MS PowerPoint - Based on what you have learned, demonstrate the health advantages and disadvantages of eating at fast food restaurants to a  group of 2nd graders.  Your presentation must include:
